Judo is unique in that all age groups, both sexes, and most disabled persons can participate together in learning and practicing the sport. Here at Southend Judo Club we have many members that are SN classified, some that are registered disabled and some that are visually impaired. But take a visit to the club and none will be easy to spot. We all train together. United in our sport of Judo. All our coaches are well versed and experienced in bringing the best out of ALL our players.
There are well run World wide events for ALL Judo players whatever their ability.
At Southend Judo Club we don’t have “normal people” we just have People. Don’t expect to be treated any different from any one else, you wont be.

Southend Judo Club are members of British Blind Sport and Essex Disability Sport Academy, our coaches are experienced in coaching VI, HI & SN Judo players to very high standards, not only have we had medal winners at International level, one member has now been selected for Paralympic Fast Track for 2012 - 2016 Paralympics!
